Me

I was born in the northern suburbs of St. Louis and started my life in Florissant, MO, lived in southeastern Florida (Lantana) for for several years, moved back to the St. Louis area, and now live in metro Denver with my husband of 20 years and our four children.

I work full time from home for VRBO.com (go ahead … look it up … you know you want to!).  Technically, I’m in Customer Support, but I also help with listing editing and URL/Video reviews when needed.  I’m very blessed to have this job!

I also started my own business, Sheila Karner Photography, in January 2009.  It’s a slow process, but I’m hopeful that persistence will lead to great things by the second year!

Our kids range in age from 11-18, the oldest being twins.  Yes, I still wanted more after twins!  I always knew I wanted four kids, but I never dreamed they’d be as great as they are.  They don’t fight with or scream at me, and they have never told me or my husband that they hate us.  Nobody’s perfect, though!  They each have their issues, just like the rest of us.  I love them just the way they are!

I’ve had more than my fair share of hobbies, including scrapbooking, card making, and jewelry making.  However, I decided to turn my favorite hobby (photography) into a business, so there’s little time for other hobbies anymore.  I do still enjoy reading.
